America needed a Civil Rights Movement, because, in my opinion, the blacks needed a break from from all that discrimination. I think it did contribute to the change that we see today because Barack Obama might not have had an example to follow, therefore, he would not have had the courage to run for President.
America needed the Civil Rights Movement because we needed to be as one whole and to love each other by their heart and not by the color of their skin. The Civil Rights Movement has really contrubuted to the change that we see taking place in our country today because, our president, Mr. Barack Hussein Obama, IS an African-American and he would have never gotten that privalliage because of the Civil Rights Movement and all the paritipants supporting the Civil Rights Movement.
America most definately needed the Civil Rights Movement. Without it, Blacks wouldn't have understood what true freedom was. Without it, African America boys and girls would've been mistreated through out their entire life and it wouldn't be fair at all. I think it contributed a huge amount of change. Now, it doesn't matter whether you're Black or White or Asian, etc. What matters it that we are all Americans no matter the color.
This is a great opportunity for today's students to witness what their ancestors struggled and died for come to fruition. I am proud of the students' understanding and involvement.
Because everybody wasnt being treated equal, and you shouldnt treat people different because they are a different race then you or you dont like the color of their skin.Yes It Did contribute because now no matter what color you are WE ALL can drink out the same water fountain; go to the same schools;churches;sit in the front middle or back of the bus.
We, the African American people, needed a Civil Rights Movement, because we believed the we should be treated in the same manor as our fellow (white) neighbor. We needed a Civil Rights Movement because we were being bitten by powerful dogs, hosed down in our very hometown, and treated with a great amount of disrespect. As bad as it seemed in the 1960s, I haven't seen much change in the last couple of decades. Racism is still on the rise. Whenever I go to my dance classes every Monday, I position myself in the back of the room, because all the other students are that of a different color. I'm hoping that I will see some change. I hope I get to experience that feeling that something better has come out of all this we have fought years for.
We needed a Civil Rights Movement because it wasn't fair how they treated blacks unfairly and treated whites fair. It was time for change. Blacks are just as important as whites. Finally, we have fair treatment. Now we have a black president.
America needed a civil rights movement because; if it weren’t for the people involved in the movement I probably will not be able to do the things I am allowed for. This movement was a difference and showed me that i should make an improvement.
WE NEEDED A CIVIL RIGHT MOVEMENT, BECAUSE US BLACK NEEDED OUR RIGHTS TO DO SOMETHING WITHOUT GETTING BEAT UP BY OUR MASTERS OR BE SEGREGATED FROM OTHERS BECAUSE THE COLOR OF OUR SKIN. AND ALSO WE NEEDED IT CAUSE GOD PUT US ON THIS EARTH TO LOVE ONE ANOTHER.
I do think America needed a Civil Rights Movement. Because, everyone didn't have equal rights. A result of the Civil Rights Movement is the 44th President of the United States.
If we didn't have a Civil Rights Movement, we wouldn't have rights, we would have to go through discrimination, and we would not have Obama as a President. Also we would not have a bus to ride.
America neede a civil rights movement because people of different color neede to stop discriminating each other. It really contirbuted to President Obama because he had the courage to do it from all those people out there who participated in the civil Rights movement. If people would've participated in the civil rights movement in 1984 for Jesse Jackson we would've already had a black president probably. Love all those people out there who did participate in the civil rights movement.
